I hate those things, but generally don't need to re-cork a bottle. :D

I've opened probably close to a thousand of bottles of wine, and I think the synthetic corks are like butter. Love em'.

1000 or more here too! Love my wine.....but..."like butter?"....how do you do it??? You must have a really good wine knife, better quality wine or possibly you are just very strong...perhaps all the above....and smooth to boot!

I just use the regular waiter's corkscrew. I've bought a few expensive fancy ones, but I like the cheap waiter's corkscrew. Yes, like butter. The corkscrew goes in so much more easily into the synthetics, and it comes out just as easily, with no cork crumbling possibility.

The Rabbit -- lol. I broke one of those $80 dollar rabbits (fancy corkscrew) of a friend of mine the first time I used it. Someone gave me one for Christmas once and I forwarded to someone else. They look fancy and might work for people who cannot open a bottle of wine, but I am lost trying to use it. It takes about three hands to do the rabbit and hold the bottle. I have only two hands.

You place the bottle on a countertop/table and then operate the "contraption" from there. Got mine for free, prefer a good old fashioned wine key any day. I also have a counter mount one that works pretty good if you need to open lots of bottles quickly.

I'll hold the bottle...you do the rabbit...

This is getting kinky.
