I think you are missing the point here, it is not the person that is important, it is their ideas! How do they think? Do they have strong ethics, morals and values ? Are they worthy to be leaders? Will they make a real difference ? Color, Race, Age, or Gender are non-issues. Choosing a leader based on these non-issues is not progressive nor is it wise.
Even if Nader does not have a realistic chance of winning, his being in the race brings issues and ideas into the spot light that absolutely need to be talked about.
