Is this all just unsupervised kids running around in the night? That doesn't make them any less of a theif, but it always seems to kick up this time of year.

Saw four Sheriff's Deputies handcuff a kid (with pink handcuffs -- three of the officers were females) who could have been no more than 11 years old, around the corner from the Red Bar, two Sundays ago, for breaking into cars in Grayton. He was crying hard when the deputies paraded him through the Red Bar, looking for his mother. They came back outside, and the Deputies had a long chat with the kid's mother, asking what she was going to do about the problem, and that they would base their decision of what to do, based on her action. I guess they worked it all out, and they let the kid go. Don't know if the boy actually stole anything. Funny thing is that out of the six or seven of us who were standing outside watching it unfold, three of us keep our keys in the car with the windows down. I said that if he wanted to steal something out of my car, hopefully he would have to remove some of the trash before he would realize that there is nothing in my car to steal.

I had to go to Ft Lauderdale Thursday and Friday and when I stopped by my showroom on Saturday to pick up my computer, I discovered that someone had been throwing rocks at my building and broke one of my storefront windows. Probably just kids with too much energy, but it will set me back $525 to replace that glass.
Must have been that full moon out there creating mischief!

Had an incident where the thief, this was during spring break and the police said there were several simlar break-ins, cut my convertible top for entry. NOthing of value for them to take but police suggested not locking convertible to avoid having damage to top. Good advice and I don't lock car now.
Sorry for your loss jfunn.

This really does suck, jfunn. I'm glad I had nothing of value with me since we left that house unlocked most of the time--couldn't figure out how to lock the back.

Around here, you get robbed when you lock your doors. Makes a thief think you got something to steal.
