My pinky toe thermometer just uses relative comparisons to the Lake temps, which I do accurately measure, and the Gulf temps are a bit cooler than the Lakes at the moment.

Doing a Jettie dive at St. Andrew on Friday, I will post when I get back on how the temp feels. Of coarse I will have a 5 mm wet suit on also.
Do let us know about the temp. St. Andrews in the Panama City Beach area is really beautiful. What all do they have going on this year? Where did you go and what exactly did you do (that you can tell us about)?

The water temps feel good. Cold at first but too hot now for a full suit. Spring suit maybe but it is time to put the neoprene away!

We may be sorry we came in early May. We never have come that early in the year before. I want to be able to enjoy the water. It will need to warm up several degrees before we get in there on the 10th, or I won't be going in it. I cannot stand cold water. Doesn't look like we will be coming on the 9th like I had hoped though.
I hope it warms up enough for you LadyD, but even if it doesn't, you'll have a wonderful time.
