I agree Mango...cute...I have a similar cut and heaven forbid she get anything like mine. People say we look a lot alike anyway. Thanks for the suggestions gulls! BR, I love Bj's hair and the color.

The deed is done. already. cut, highlighting, blue hair streak- it's removable and in a school color. She's a happy camper. It was my reward/surprise to her for working so hard on cheerleading.

After pic to come when I log onto the laptop.

She does have a bit of a wild side. If it were up to her and the cheer coach and school allowed it, I think she would look like this. Makes the blue streak and highlights pretty tame huh?

What is baliage?

it's like painting your hair.

Baliage is a French freestyle technique of creating natural, hand-painted highlights. In French, le balayage means "strands of color." The technique can be done in a chunky or subtle way, but the effect is generally softer since the highlights are more sparse than with a methodical aluminum foil technique. It's a great way to achieve a natural, beachy, and relaxed bright look.
Baliage is less time-consuming than getting a full head of traditional highlights. It is easier to maintain, too, since the roots will blend in with the rest of your hair as they grow in.
