Honestly this isn't the worst thing I've ever heard.
At my old job there was an incident with a rental house. A guy rented the house as a congratulations to the team of soccer players he brought down to Destin. What he failed to mention when he checked in was that he was not staying at the house, but rather he was dropping off fifteen 15-16 year-olds and staying in a hotel. When he checked out he didn't even come in the office, just dropped the keys in the box. No one though anything until the housekeepers called and sounded as if they had found a dead body. They hadn't that's a different story.
What they discovered was unreal. This was a relatively new 3 story 5 bedroom 5 1/2 bath home. All of SHELLY's favorite extra's, stainless steal, granite counter tops, etc. Every piece of glass on pictures, coffee tables, and end tables had been smashed. Toothpaste had been smeared on almost every surface in the house. The kitchen had been destroyed, doors ripped off of cabinets, broken plates, broken glasses, most of the pots and pans were just missing, and fixtures ripped out of the ceiling. Most of the living room furniture had been moved out onto the back lawn and was wet from rain and burned with cigar/cigarette burns. Not one, but two dining room chairs were still stuck in the wall of the dining room. Oddly the bedrooms and bathrooms were pretty much untouched or just had normal use. The absolute most disgusting thing though was the stair case. Now I warn you to just stop reading if you can't take gross things.
Apparently on the final night the boys had gotten together and decided to see if they could urinate and get it to run down all three flights of stairs.
Pictures were taken, cleaning began, and the Sheriff's department was called. I believe when all was said and done with the grand total was somewhere around $38,000 in damage. The coach was arrested, fired, and still paying off the judgement.
The point is to not jump to conclusions that parents are neglectful, sometimes they simply trust the wrong people.
