6th gen, since you state that a marriage should be man/woman and that provides a more stable family environment why is it that roughly 50% of all heterosexual marriages end in divorce, but today it was announced that of the 14,000 gay marriages in Mass. only 48 have ended in divorce. That roughly 0.34285714285714285714285714285714% divorce rate. Seems a little more stable IMO.

Could you be a little more specific? :rotfl: (Nerd.)

Commitment is a beautiful thing, and I applaud it.

Don't forget about how the percent is said to be higher in Christian marriages!

Not the best sample size, and not a valid comparison unless you compare the divorce rate since Mass passed the law allowing such. Look to the Dutch for a more salient comparison.

Between 1995 and 2002, there were 1,526 gay partnerships contracted, compared to 280,000 for heterosexual couples. Five out of 1,000 new couples in Sweden are same-sex. Sixty-two percent of those are male same-sex unions.

There was a high rate of legal divorce among homosexual couples in Sweden. Gay male couples were 50% more likely to divorce within an eight-year period than were heterosexuals; and lesbian couples were 167% more likely to divorce than heterosexual couples.

Want to quote a source for that?

Gay Marriage (The Poll)

I should have just done this on the first one, but here we go.

6th gen this is for your sense of democracy, no liberal judges here.

As for the Dutch I saw a report some time back saying that the character Hans Brinker was really a person named Stephanie Brinker. Make of it what you will.
