oh DD! I must have those scrubbers/cleaners for the stove top and stainless! I too love cleaning products. using them is not so great, but shopping, talking, comparing, etc. is such funn!:D

Well, good luck finding them. I've looked in....ok, just two stores...with no luck. I did however buy some awesome stuff today..Goo Gone gel. It's my new favorite thing and it smells like orange. :D

Goo Gone is awesome!

I actually adore my Swiffer mop. There is just something about running it behind the toilet and then throwing the pad away that makes me happy. 'Course, I don't have wood floors. Yet. And, if you only clean once in a blue moon or if something gets spilled, the refills are not expensive. (Hey, I work during the week, I go to church on Sunday mornings and football season is about to consume my Saturdays. My floors won't get mopped again until November. I do good to keep our clothes washed!)

I think what makes mine work so well on my floors is the finish--mine are very smooth. It also helps that there is only one pair of feet (usually bare--I leave my shoes on the porch) pitterpattering around, too.

Oviously (apparent only to the female gender) some folks like their handheld, battery operated stuff and some are old school.

Hey there SN! I can definitely see using the swiff in the bathroom or in a pantry, etc. a small area is what it calls for. I still have the pads and use them with my hand to clean small areas like the bathroom floor.

I am so not a gadget person - maybe that is why I could not keep the actual swiffer - it drove me crazy since it didn't do the job as expected on a larger floor area so I had to ditch it.

I think Goo Gone was a suggestion either here or online for my carpet stain!

I just remembered the mop they sell at Bed Bath and Beyond. It's like a swiffer only better, the cloth head is removable and washable, gets up all kinds of stuff and the head is about 20 inches so it goes pretty quick.

They are also pretty good at getting stuff out of the corners. If I would tend to the floor more often, I guess the corners wouldn't accumulate stuff.

And I was going to make a wisecrack about gadgets but this thread is about cleaning the floor ;-)
