CNN is reporting she is McCain's VP pick. I think it is a smart move on the surface simply because a female will by default neutralize the 'toughness' Biden can display during the VP debates. Imagine Romney/Biden contrasted with Palin/Biden.

Wait, hnooe2000 just posted that CNN was reporting that Lieberman was McCain's pick. Maybe McCain is leaking crapola info to the left-leaning Press. Palin is reported to still be in Alaska, so unless she will be doing a video feed (which might happen), she won't be the pick. Two hours to go.
Now, the Press is thinking that the GOP Convention may delay or shorten the Convention as Hurr Gustav rolls toward the Gulf coast. The Reps don't want to appear to be partying while the Gulf Coast is whacked by a Cat 2 Hurricane. At least they learned something from Katrina.
