well, I am back but my pounds lost are now back too. so, pleeese, someone make me eat salad and drink water starting now!

a week of eating out on vacay, then several days leading up to vacay and after vacay of a whacky schedule and whacky eating. THEN ended up at Fat Clemenza's last night for the most amazing and wonderfully gorgeous and delicious meal I've had in a long long time. Paula would have sobbed in her Pinot Noir all the way through dinner. I shall report on this meal in the appropriate forum later on.

so. just call me BFFA.:D yep. uh huh. you got it. Monday though - OL and all - I want someone to start cracking that whip. DD - are you still the whip cracker? or did OL get that, or maybe Gypsea needs that job - she keeps giving us excellent little tidbits, websites, etc... who the hail has that whip?
I want to hear about the F.C. meal because I am still on vacation and might have to go there before I go home!

I don't know who has the whip.:dunno: I think I gave it up a long time ago.

Good to see you Toots! I've been slipping off the horse about every other day lately!!! It does make a difference when your schedule changes! Mr OL is off for the next couple of days. I did walk and exercise today but I had pizza and half a sub at my moms tonight. :blush:Then I ate a few jelly beans and good and plentys. eeek. I better be good tomorrow!!!!

But I will be back Tuesday to possibly crack the whip.:D

Heck, you'll be back in a healthy routine in no time, Toots. It's easier to do it at home rather than on vacation (and it really should be counted as a sin to NOT eat food that's good enough to make you cry when on vacation - or anytime). I haven't had much time for SoWal lately but will be back with more soon. All's well, very well. I did gain 5 pounds while travelling but it was worth it and I'll get back into my routine soon. Even planning to stop going to the trainer and trying to do the exercise on my own now after 1.5 years and we'll see how that goes.

I give up. I'm up and then down 3 pounds. I have a gyno follow-up appointment tomorrow for a second pap and will be at my heaviest I am sure, and you are weighed right in front of everyone in the back, same at my gastroenterologist office, embarrassing. I don't get to walk for exercise except on weekends due to the husband's work schedule. I do not overeat where any meal is concerned and don't eat after 6:00 p.m. at night, I eat by 5:00. And I have taken to drinking plenty of water daily, at least 32 ounces daily.

But becaUse I am starting to get out of whack in several different ways I think I am retaining more water weight, etc. About to give up.
I notice I stay stressed and nervous a good deal of the time where I stay totally tense, not just in my back but my stomach also. That cannot be good for anybody. Stress can cause all kinds of things physically. I notice the only time I am half normal when occupied with doing something constructive, like yard work, I totally had my mind off of my stress the other day, but my stress level rises at work, and when sitting night after night in this house, even though I am doing laundry most nights.

I've got to learn to relax. Any suggestions?

Today is a new day...a new beginning...a fresh start. Here we go...

Today I had oatmeal for breakfast, coffee and an apple. I'm getting ready to go walk. I made veggie soup for dinner so I'll probably have that for lunch too. So far only one glass of water...

I canceled my workout today because of PawPaw coming in town. I have learned that exercise is the key for me. I had to lay off because of a "condition" for about three weeks and swiftly gained 4 lbs. back.

You go, OL!!!

You know, I'm probably the same way. You would think I would have exercised more in the summer but I didn't. I layed out by the pool instead of swimming in it. And of course I eat better when exercising b/c I don't want to ruin it.

I'm in OL!

Rode my bike for 6 miles, thought I was dying! Egg whites for breakfast, coffee with Splenda, salad for lunch.

All right!!!

I have a question for bikers. How do you keep your butt from hurting? I rode my daughter's bike and thought I was gonna have to walk the bike back home my bottom hurt so bad. She has a padded seat too.:dunno:
Maybe you have to build up endurance???

Mine is actually a stationary bike so it has a padded seat too. I don't usually ride my real bike that far since I'm usually pulling a baby stroller with 60lbs of kids in it! My butt still hurts from my stationary bike! It has a training feature that you can start out slow with and it gradually builds your endurance. I've had it for 2 years and yesterday was the first time I've been on it. Hopefully I'll get used to it!

This time I'm determined to get back to my pre-5kids weight or at least somewhere close!
