I agree with the title of this thread. Most of the talking heads I've heard on TV agree with this. I plan to vote for McCain, but he should know that VP candidates are the ones who are supposed to be the attack dogs. The presidential candidate should be above that and say what he plans to do to solve our nation's problems and be a strong leader.[/quote]
While that is, in fact, historically true, the presidential candidates are also in "lock step agreement" with the rants of their VP candidates, whether its Palin or Biden. The presidential candidate is ultimately responsible for his or her VP selection--their agendas remain the same, whether stated outright or not, even if they seem to be "above" the attack.
