are gop folks getting that desperate? I am so sick and tired of this kind of tactic by american people who I know are so much better than this. how could this even become a valid question? from the sources I've seen - it is not a valid question. do people think that just anyone can sign up and run for the Senate or President? Are they that stupid? I just don't know what to say anymore about this kind of ignorance that spreads far and wide. it seems to be spreading in a certain segment via questionable internet sites and email, but not to the mass media, thankfully. I'm sorry to see it appear here.

I see if someone asks a question on here they are still attacked as everyone immediately, through the use of yoga I imagine, has made a determination of what they really are trying to do and say. Of course people could exercise the option of not reading the post, ignoring the post, or just not responding, but I guess that is out of the question.

My parents told me. I chose to believe them. Hard to believe that in any town, in any place, that at some time a Mom or Dad would not point to a building and tell Junior that is where he/she was born.

That's right. You chose to believe your parents. You surely don't remember being born there. For what it is worth, my parents never pointed out the hospital where I was born, saying that I was born there. I just know the name of the city of my birth, mostly because it is on my birth certificate.

The question was asked for us to to inform others of why Obama didn't know the name of the hospital in which he was born. In that question, there is either accusations of guilt or assumptions that we know something which we would be incapable of knowing. The birth certificate issue was brought into the press months ago. I wouldn't be surprised if it was lingering from Hillary.

It surprises me that so many of you don't know where you were born, WOW! I have a birth certificate myself & I gave each of my adult children theirs, don't most of us for one reason or another have to use our birth certificate? My 94 year old mother has one. Surely somoeone who has made it to the position of running for President of the US would have to at some time seen a document that showed where they are born.

I saw the document on line, but it was not legible. I would hope that to have gotten this far it is pretty much a fact that he was born in Hawaii.

I have heard about the lawsuit & the rumor that his mother was close to due and the doctor would not let her leave Kenya so she gave birth to him there & then flew to Hawaii. At this point I would have to believe it is just a rumor and not true.

I also see no need to jump all over Supermom26.2. You libs make the rest of us feel like shark bait sometimes.

Supermom, if you really wanted an answer to this question, then why not google the question and sort through the information; it does not take much effort to find it.

Futhermore, members of Congress must undergo background checks--especially those who serve on certain committees and travel to other countries on behalf of our government; they need a Security Clearance FTLOG! His birthplace is also required to get a US passport, which, as the Republican Party has been quick to point out, he has had for almost all his life!

It is disappointing to see these rumors continued on Sowal...:bang:

Where one is born is about as important as where one dies. I choose not to remember either.
