Sorry!

Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit didn't work as well because of the age ranges, and Tripoley always disintegrated into arguments, but it was a family tradition to play Sorry! with 3 generations and a bowl of peppermint stick ice cream mid-way through (which Grandpa claimed he bought "for the grandkids" so Grandma would allow it).
Monopoly was a fave too, but took too long.

When me and my sister were younger my parents got the kids Trivial Pursuit and we got to use those cards. Of course we also discovered that if the parents were winning we could use the same cards and stump them. Go ahead ask your parents the name of the green power ranger. :D

I also had one called Mousetrap where an elaborate mousetrap was constructed on the board to catch a little plastic mouse.
I also remember getting a Jaws game for Christmas in the 70s where you fished objects out of the shark's mouth before it snapped shut.
I think the Dargs still have Operation which was another classic.

Game of life, clue and monoply. I also loved trivial persuit when I was older. It always amazed me how much crap I actually can pull out of my head that I didn't even know I knew....

We love board games and y'all named all the ones we have, but if you want to try something different, this board game came rocks.

Settlers of Catan
[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]In Settlers of Catan, groups of settlers try to become the dominant group on a remote island by building settlements and cities across its uncharted wilderness. Each player tries to guide their settlers to victory by clever building and trading. Building is based on resources that you gain based on where you build and the roll of the dice. This combination of strategy and luck makes Settlers an excellent game for players of all skill levels.

What's cool about is there are never two of the same boards and everyone is involved, even if it's not your turn.

I remember that stupid mousetrap never working, you usually had to coax it along. :bang:
