I know they are! My sister said tonight I could put tiara's in my alpaca's hair. :D

He has a lot of physical therapy ahead and we will know in two weeks if he has to have bone grafts. If he does, do you know they cut the bone typically from the pelvis or iliac crest?!

I know your Alpaca will be the most spoiled, best dressed, most sparkly Alpaca in all of Alpaca land.

Holy crap! That sounds painful! God luv Steve. I hope the grafts don't have to happen.

Well, if OL can put tiara's in her dogs hair, I'm sure I can put one in my alpaca's hair. (let's not admit that Sweetie already has some for her hair) Do you know the difference in llama's and alpaca's?

Well, that too. Size and fiber quality. Llamas were primarily bred to be a beast of burden, and alpacas were bred primarily as fiber producers. An average alpaca standing 34"-36" at the withers, where llamas stand 42"-48" at the withers. An adult alpaca will generally produce 5-8#s of high quality exotic uniformly crimped fiber in a single fiber fleece, each year. Got all that? You wanna come help shear them twice a year, DD?

I hope they don't need to do that. My sweet daddy had to have it, and the graft site hurt him worse than the injury site. Ick.

I'm also planning wii bowling parties at his house starting next weekend. I've taken him huge stack of biographies I had around here (it takes an accident to find out we read much of the same thing) bought him his favorite tv shows series on dvd's, sent him subscriptions to National Geographic and Smithsonian Magazine (two of my favorites) and a stack of books on raising alpaca's. What else does he want? Hey! Perhaps I could tease his hair up and put a tiara in it! :D
