?I straight up don?t understand this woman or her popularity,? says McCain. ?I find her offensive, radical, insulting, and confusing all at the same time.?

I certainly agree w/ that!

It is that kind of "brave talk" that is going to help the GOP In the long run, which I think is a good thing. Megan is smart enough to know that Coulter and her ilk (we all know who they are) don't speak for the majority of Republicans. And she is in the position to say something. Now, if she comes back and apologizes later, it will make me wonder who is the mystery person behind the curtain.

Maybe the Republican Party can be strengthened, to a degree, by disowning Coulter in this way, in the manner of a bright, fresh face in Ms. McCain. Ms. McCain has the guts Michael Steele seems to lack.

In the end, these "extremies", Coulter, Limbaug, Olberman, et al (both sides) are now being seen more and more as pure "entertainment" by a majority of the public.

They will each will have their cult bases though ( I own a Keith Olberman T-shirt : )--these folks really are unchangeably stubborn .

I think Meghan is a chip off the old block - and since she's not running for anything, she can't be "handled".

Good for her.

 Don't forget to throw in Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity to your list of "extremies" and "pure entertainment".

Right here!

I wouldn't add Beck in that list but the other two seem to fit. Huckabee might be a good addition as well, Jack Cafferty and Rachel Meadows are also good fits.
