...on either side of the political fence...

President Obama is going to go back on the Lincoln mandate 'to care for him who shall have borne the battle' and wants to require military veterans who have suffered service-connected disabilities and injuries to reimburse the VA by using their own private insurance.

Sorry, but that is nothing more than horrible and outright contempt for those Americans who have put their lives on the line for the country.

Yeah...I just don't see this going well for him, and if moon bats Pelosi and Reid support it, they will be coming close to committing polital suicide. I can't see how that will not come back to bite him down the road...

He scares me

I hope Obama proves me wrong, but I see Obama just jumping from one subject to another without thinking things out!! Fix one thing at time..and do it well...instead of trying all of it half a..ed!

Maybe this is a conspiracy theory, but doesn't this just smack of trying to dissuade people from joining the military? Or is he simply looking for a way to fund his government largess without raising taxes on the 95% he promised not to raise taxes on? My guess is the latter, considering he plans to raise their taxes and hopes they won't notice.

read iava.org for indepth information on the issue and their efforts to get the president to listen to the concerns of veterans. this is not a smart move.

Things don't seem to be going well with those campaign promises.

Based on the Obamameter, he has fulfilled 18 promises, compromised on 6, broken 3, 3 are stalled, 42 are in the works, and 441 with no action. I would say he is doing fairly well on his promises. Here's the Obamameter...

PolitiFact | The Obameter: Tracking Barack Obama's Campaign Promises

I was glad to see they finally switched the no lobbiest thing from compromise to broken.

I looked for and never found the one (which he broke) on PolitiFact where he promised not to use signing statements:
