How much ?unclenching? is necessary? Should the benefits of wealth be redistributed evenly worldwide or is it laudable enough to redistribute only here in the United States?

in Honor of Good Friday...

:wave:Not a question of should, but "when will." Jesus automatically would, but we feel we "should."

:wave:Not a question of enough, "too much" for some, is way to little for others. (Jesus said) "If you want to be perfect, go, give your possessions to the poor, and you will have treasures once in Heaven. Then come, follow me. --from Mathew.

if jesus were to show up at the next republican convention, he would be tasered. fox news would report he was a terrorist suspect preaching socialism.

Agreed but how would you define frivious? Have you noticed all the attorney's ads on TV? Yesterday, I saw a lawyer boasting that his only practice area is pursuing mesothelioma cases.

You don't have to, you let judge and jury. By going to the English model, those bringing forth lawsuits know that they are more likely to be vigorously defended and that if they lose, they pay for the defense of their case. Different than the American model where they have nothing but upside provided they hire a you don't pay unless we collect for you type attorney.

the unraveling has incrementally occurred over the past several generations. the crush of population growth/immigration and unrealistic expectations of unfunded governmental influence are forcing our path. portugal may ultimately not be the westernmost member of the eu.

Bold is exactly correct. One more reason the Republicans screaming for immigration restrictionsand SS reform are silly. SS is a long term ponzi scheme. If Sutherland hadn't tipped off FDR's aides on the secret to pulling it off we wouldn't be in nearly as bad of shape now.

I have no idea what you mean by the above. :dunno:
In your first sentence, it sort of sounds like you are saying that the benefits of wealth will be redistributed evenly around the world in any case.

As far as I am aware, Jesus never promoted taxing income. I think almost everyone supports your right to freely give your wealth away.
I certainly do.
