I'm surprised Miss Kitty didn't notice that they left out the favorite part of her song:

If you ain't got no money take your broke ass home!

I was pulling for Adam, but wasn't shocked when he lost. This show is about talent, but at a certain point it also becomes about marketing, big time. Kris is clearly appealing to the demographic that AI is geared to. Tweens! Deep down inside I'm hoping this is the first sign that "Emo" is finally dead.

I think alot of tweens liked Adam. My tween nieces and their friends loved Adam and voted for him every week. Many people that like Kris aren't tweens. My moms Sunday school class all loved "that cute little Kris."

I think the biggest thing that put Kris over the top was actually Danny. Danny and Kris had similar styles and were more alike. They both loved slower ballads, and both come from a church music background. Before the finals, Danny and Kris split the vote. With Danny gone, people that liked him switched their votes to Kris.

And yes that was really KISS, complete with Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons! What a wild range of music last night. Who else was cracking up at Kara when she was upstaging bikini girls new boobies??

I ain't got no TiVo here and missed the entire thing, as I was nursing my wounds with alcohol at the time of the finale. Did Fergie sing my song???? ;-)

I loved it that Kara came out and totally surprised Bikini Babe....did you see the look on her face. I am so glad to see Kara finally get down and sing. Who's going to remember Bikini Babe now when Kara flashed her body, which looked dam* good! I saw that twinkle in Simon's eye. Even Ryan Seacrest made a comment about Kara's stomach!!!

I have a new respect for Kara!!!!

Personally I don't like her. There is something about her that crawls my skin. Hated, hated that dreadful song she wrote and Adam and Kris had to sing. I felt sorry for both of them having to sing it. I hope she isn't back next year. I liked it better when it was just Randy, Simon and Paula. IMHO.

I think not winning will help Adam. He can be as creative as he wants when he does his album and not have the AI producers trying to record "hits" for the masses. He will probably end up with the better career for him. He's going to be a big star no matter what happened last night.

I've already declared myself dense so I'll go ahead and say this but I had no I idea he was gay. (Who said he was?) The thought never occurred to me. Lots of theatre rats like to dress over-the-top, especially the really talented and dedicated ones like Adam. I asumed he was nothing but theatrical. I can imagine that would be off-putting to lots of Idol voters who don't know how to take such creativity. Idol is pretty main-stream and safe. I bet Adam lost because he was too edgy not because he's gay. Maybe America wanted soothing and sweet rather than Adam's brand of high drama.
