I am shocked. I didn't expect that end, and Kris clearly didn't either. And now he has to sing that terrible song....bless his heart.

I'm glad someone else thinks so, too. But all in all, I think this was the best AI show I've ever seen.

Even Kris said Adam should have won. I guess all of the teeny-boppers' phone calls won it for Kris, although I'll have to submit he sounded better than Mr. Kidman.

Adam sounded incredible singing "We are the Champions." Kris sounded pretty pitchy. In Kris' defense, that isn't his style of music.

I liked Kris but he was just "another singer" Adam was a performer.


All in all, great ending show. I love Lionel RItchie and Rod Stewart and Cindi Lauper. I dont think that was Kiss though....

IBD, it was Paul Stanley on the guitar and Gene Simmons on bass. They are two of the originals. The drummer and other guitar player were not.

The 2 originals just got fat like us old guys do!

Adam will be much off since he didn't win. He can do whatever he wants. Kris will be at the mercy of American Idol for awhile. Adam is probably glad he didn't win!!!

I loved the whole show....but I was so taken back and at a loss for words that Adam did not win. I do like sweet Kris and his family, but it definately was the tweens that gave him his win.

The whole show just felt like the vibes were for Adam. Let me go find a beer to cry in.

Darlene, I had a gut feeling too. I told the kids last night--but I stopped short of saying he would win. Didn't wanna jinx him. I have to say though that I was still shocked when they announced. Maybe I jinxed Adam by posting so many times he was gonna win. And, you all are right, that is a crappy song. If I was Kara, I wouldn't claim it.
