My perfect beach
I have a brand new Touch Pro compliments of Sprint. Just renewed my 2 year plan with them for the 7 time. I have gotten something from them at each renewal.

Works very well except for afew dead spots around Freeport.

You can't get that rate today. But I will not be changing carriers anytime soon.

No. Listen! The last time I had a case of "I wants" it was six years ago, I was pregnant, and I really wanted an anniversary band for our 10th. (I got one. It was very reasonable.)

Seriously ... I never covet stuff*, but I covet the iphone. So be it! :D I will just carve $60 or so out of the budget elsewhere.

*okay almost never.

I'm with ya, girlie. I don't covet stuff (much of the time, more than once a week, except the Kindle 2) but I have a co-worker who tells me that my life will change for the better with an iPhone. I plan to call AT&T and bully them on Friday.

I just emailed said co-worker, and he said he only pays about $80/month for his iPhone. :dunno:

Yay! So I'll save money then.

Honestly, a Kindle2 might be next.... I am very intrigued.

I work Sprint over, too. The plan I would need is about $70/mo. Add in taxes and insurance (they made me git this after it went in the toilet), and it's probably $80-$85. Hmmmm.......it still has unlimited data, GPS, text, etc., but limited on the calls. I don't know, I have to think about it.

Word from the world of cellphones is that Verizon will have the iPhone by the end of the year...
I'm still waiting to see what will happen with my Alabama based Alltel phone. We should know something by mid summer I hope. And yes, I'm hopin' Att buys us.

I have Sprint Everything Unlimited (PDA). Just paid it and it runs about $120/mo. But that's just one line.

Isn't it Verizon that has the family plan? Maybe that's what the Critter family needs. Good luck!!

we have this - it's pretty good

Yeah, at that age I could only do agricultural labor or babysitting/yard work. And getting them to the job is a pain too.

The reason I asked about the number of texts is that I was able to add 250 texts per month to the uber basic plan for $5 w/ Verizon. (It's 10 cents each beyond that.)

i got free txt and pic messaging to any carrier with verizon on my plan...

All of the kids around here have Verizon because you get the free in-calling and the unlimited texting for 5.99/month. If you don't have Verizon, you are the "social outcast." and your friends will cut you off from texting and phoning because they get in trouble when Mom & Dad get the bill with the xtra charges on it.

verizon is the main carrier around here too. works out good with the free in calling and texting. i have a phone on my plan for my sis who lives across the state so we can do free calls and txts plus call my parents too

Ouch! That sounds kinda' pricey. I do love the iphone my friend has. I'm pretty sure it can cook supper for 12 and clean her house at the same time.

However I really don't like always being "in touch", "wired in" or even available all the time. I've been known to turn my cell phone off occasionally or even leave it in the car. I didn't realize how much money I was saving.

i pay way too much for no more than i use my phone for talking. i do txt a lot and am on the internet a lot checking things out, but mainly keep it with me so my family can get in touch if they need to.
