Even Entertainment Tonight was saying that a reality show is the death knell for a marriage.

We're watching the show right now. It doesn't appear that John and Kate have had any marital therapy. They seem resigned to it. Hubby thinks that maybe people have gotten bored with watching the mundane details of someone else's daily family life, so maybe the producers like the split-up to add some drama and increase viewership. BTW he doesn't normally watch the show, but he hears daughter and I (mostly daughter) talking about it.

I'm with Big D on this one. Pure PR.

How did they get chosen for a show like this? I mean, Sweet Pea, p***y and I are way more exciting (I presume) than they. I saw them and they are just unhappy! (I also just happened to catch Dr. Phil today and it was all about non-verbal language - great show!)

I think we could do a whole sowal.com reality show and have a larger viewership.....I feel certain! What channel are they on? I want to see their show!

It would be an instant hit, I'm sure!!

I flipped through a couple times pre-media blitz and the kids are cute, she's a cranky biatch (possibly because her husband is an idiot and she has 8 kids) w/ freaky hair like Scuttle the seagull from The Little Mermaid, and he's a dumbarse useless husband (possibly because anything he does gets criticized w/ 'tude and he still seems uninformed about the fact that they HAVE 8 kids).

The divorce is no surprise to me, I'm just wondering about the kids getting raised w/ paparazzi and a time slot.

No, eight is even.;-)

I had 8 once. But my doctor made me agree to selectively reduce if we had that many. We lost them all before we had to make that awful decision.
