Still don't know what exactly you are saying. You have demonstrated on this board that you are rich in life experience, strong in character, sound in logic and reason in so many misc areas. So it puzzles me what you see in this person. What direction does she want that you connect with? I agree that she epitomizes someone strong in their convictions who believes they are right. Bush is this way. So is Bin Laden. So is Ahmadinejad. So was Charles Manson. So is our current President. Which attitudes regarding how we are governed do you feel sorry for?
Its not just Sarah Palin's philosophy with which I agree. I am very much for a smaller federal government, states rights which are really meaningful, local control of local matters which affect and impact the people in a specific geographical area, less taxes in general but more taxes where needed for specifically identified areas that citizens can agree on. I could continue but, Geo, knowing you are an expansive thinker, I'm sure you get the idea. There are many other things I have mentioned numerous times such as term limits. Congress, in its present form is a disgrace, and yet nothing is done about it.
In regard to strong convictions there is nothing wrong with that. As I have said before, my wise, but uneducated father, use to say, " A wise man will often change his mind but a fool never does". I am not a fool, regardless of what some on this board may think. I am, however, very pragmatic and will only change my mind, philosophy and actions when shown good reason. At the federal level of government that hasn't happened and shows no signs of happening in the near future.
The fraud, waste and mismanagement in our government at all levels, but particularly the federal level, is devastating. Geo, do you now have an idea of my idea of how we should be governed? I realize I have not gotten into specifics. They are too numerous to go into here. If you are still at a loss as to what I feel there is nothing more I can tell you.
