By applying this Justice's logic-

We shouldn't approve any marriage because the data shows that half of all marriages will end in dissolution. We need to look out for the kids, right?!

UGH...

This whole thing makes me want to puke .......................... and call my mother (dad's off shooting food and is out of range) and thank her for raising me HOW and WHERE she did.

Parents can actually be wonderful things.

According to Confucius, "Marriage is the union (of the representatives) of two different surnames, in friendship and in love, in order to continue the posterity of the former sages, and to furnish those who shall preside at the sacrifices to heaven and earth, at those in the ancestral temple, and at those at the altars to the spirits of the land and grain.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interracial_marriage

Interracial marriage occurs when two people of differing racial groups marry, often creating multiracial children. This is a form of exogamy (marrying outside of one's social group) and can be seen in the broader context of miscegenation (mixing of different racial groups in marriage, cohabitation, or sexual relations).

Interracial marriage in the United States has been fully legal in all U.S. states since the 1967 Supreme Court decision that deemed anti-miscegenation laws unconstitutional, with many states choosing to legalize interracial marriage at much earlier dates. Multiracial Americans numbered 6.8 million in 2000, or 2.4% of the population.[

Intercultural couples tend to face hardships most within-culture relationships do not. Various resources which focus on conflict resolution of intercultural differences in marriage relationships have become available in the media. Specialized counseling and support groups have also become available to these couples. Conflict resolution and mediation of the infrastructural issues faced by intercultural couples leads to a broader understanding of culture and communication

this story made me wonder if the judge had ever heard of a guy named tiger woods? the guy is the first billion dollar athlete, he changed the game the world over, he's undoubtedly the most responsible for golf being added back to the olympics, and will most definitely go down as the greatest golfer of all times - and he's only 33. there is a global industry that owes a debt of gratitude to this child of an interracial marriage.

Hey, or even use our President Barack Hussein Obama as a good example-- he was born of a black father and white mother--not all examples have to be in the area of athletics.

Then Confusious would have no problem with gay marriage either, I would assume?:dunno:

I thought that had been covered in post #10 on this thread, but, yes, if redundancy suits you better we can add the President into the same paragraph and change some of phrases around.
