i believe he questioned a person of color's perspective. what color are you?

Mr. R, It appears what we have here is ones interpretations of ones comprehension of what has been the opinion of another. With that being said, You have interpreted what was written by Mr. Gay Boy as one would expect in the manner of which you comprehend his meaning of his statement. Now you might know this Mr. Gay Boy and might have read his postings in the past and could very well have a different understanding from what another such as myself might have since I do not know him, and that I have only read a few of his postings.

There is however one very clear distinction between my postings and his on this thread. I have not retorted to a level of name calling or accusations that I am the authority speaking on behalf of all people of color and neither am I considered a "Sock Puppet".

I understand how one might pass those statements coming from one of tenure on this site (Mr. Gay Boy) and how the New person here (Myself) might not be given the extension of latitude to allow for a direct opinion on ones behalf. However let me restate and place further clarity on this response to you and others, I never needed to question one opinion because of his/her color and neither have I responded with innuendo of what ones intentions are, and elude to them as being anything other but another poster stating their opinion, Not calling them names such as a "Sock Puppet". I do find with interest how others just over look these statements by Mr. Gay Boy. But I again reflect back on what I stated earlier in this post, I do not know Mr. Gay Boy and have little experience in interpreting or comprehending his statements in his postings.

I apologized for anything offensive I might have said earlier. I certainly hope those that read that would see my sincerity in it.

In the question you have directed to me Mr. R, "What Color am I? Well I have had that exact question in the past myself. I am of a darker pigmentation of my skin. In general public opinion I am often referred to as Black. However that is simply a common stereotyping that has been passed down for generations, I have had my skin color presented several years ago on a National Program that asked the very same question you asked. The results were very surprising to others as well as myself. The color spectrum analyzer that tested my skin under controlled lighting conditions pale brown.

As a color of low intensity, brown is a tertiary color in the original technical sense: a mix of the three subtractive primary colors is brown if the cyan content is low. Brown exists as a color perception only in the presence of a brighter color contrast: yellow, orange, red, or rose objects are still perceived as such if the general illumination level is low, despite reflecting the same amount of red or orange light as a brown object would in normal lighting conditions.

I hope this has answered you question and has given a proper response to your statement as well.

Mr. Skunkape, That is in my opinion the correct resolve in this matter. A person of authority in a governmental position should live by the standards set forth by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights of our Great country.
After reading that I see that he has maintained the same position on inter racial marriages for the past 34 years. I might add without opposition. This brings to thought of why would such a "Racial" position stand unopposed for so long? This would be a point of another interesting thread. But the question remains, Why was this APPROVED by the constituents for so long? Did this couple know prior too going before him what his stand was on inter racial marriages? If so why would they have gone to him? The questions can flow... Thank you for posting that update.

PS I also love your screen name. Excellent! Good Day!

But one must remember one idiot does not describe all the people from the same region, be it Louisiana or the South. To think that is well .......idiotic and stereotyping which is as bad as what this judge has done. He made a judgment that is not his to make.
True, it doesn't describe everyone from a geographic area, but this guy would not have repeatedly and publicly done this if he had any fear of censure or repercussions.

He ran unopposed for years, his wife didn't have a problem with it, another nearby justice of the peace who knew of the practice (because she was referred the couples and married them) never reported him, and it took a NATIONAL media storm before any action was taken.

Update from the front line.
You can't reconstruct most pinheads but you can remove them from positions of authority.

Nice to see there will FINALLY be some review of his actions.......after several decades..................and several days of media attention.

And that's the really sad part of this whole thing IMO.

because he questioned the PERSON of Colors perspective,....
Thanks for pointing out my poor reading comprehension! :bang:

Are you the spokesperson for all those of color? Your statement above makes it appear so. Is my comprehension off? Mr. Gay questioned only you within this thread. I can't interpret it any other way.

You are now making assumptions about me and my comprehension. What I am unable to comprehend is the statement below.

With that being said, You have interpreted what was written by Mr. Gay Boy as one would expect in the manner of which you comprehend his meaning of his statement.

Your continued use of wikipedia is interesting. I'm left wondering why a 'person of color' (I know of no black persons who refer to themselves as such) would need to refer to it when commenting on their own pigmentation.

The fabianism is quite strong here. We should be in for a fun couple of weeks.

I'm curious, what is the preferred term? Up in these parts it is African American and VERY much the "people of color" is used.

(and lord, i hope somebody doesn't get on their high horse & either red rep me or bitc*-slap me for making a inquiring post. ;-) Seriously.)

What I'd like to know is why Beanstalk repeatedly refers to SWGB as Mr. Gay Boy? Sowalgayboi changed his screen name to SWGB long before Mr. Stalk's join date of April 2009, so something is just not adding up for me. I'm thinking (and just assuming here, you know what they say...) that SWGB must have had a reason for changing his screen name, and following all other trends in this thread, would prefer to be called "Mr. SWGB" or "Mr. GB." So, what is the motivation for the salutation?

And FYI, it is allude. A-L-L-U-D-E.

I refuse to continue to repeat answering the same questions over and over Mr. John R. If you're unable to gather my interpretation and my explanations from my postings, I will say I am sorry that I failed to state with clarity so that you would be able to comprehend them.

As for why I choose to use the term "Person of Color"? as Mr. Skunkape stated it is and has been the choice of those who use it. I will state this for you once, Hopefully you can grasp this, I was born 60+ years ago here in the United States of America, So I am an American. I am of the Negro race. I am not African/American, albeit I have African in my background. I am not white, "White" is absence of color. I do have dark pigmentation of my skin. But I am NOT Black. Black is inclusive of ALL colors. Depending on the lighting and the background as I shared with you earlier, My skin is of Brown in color. So I choose to use the term "Person of Color".

I am not ashamed to be called Black or African American, Not even Negro, I am proud of who I am and my contributions to this Country, My family and hundreds if not thousands of others around the world that I have delt with in the years past.

So your continued attempts to multi question each post should now come to a rest. If need be I can and will sit and explain in person and allow you to gather your own opinion "What Color" my skin is. If that would help you come to closure on this. Certainly it has more effect on your life of what I have given it to be with mine.

I will assure of of one thing, I seriously doubt that you have ever met a Truly BLACK person meaning skin color. If you have I would hope that you could befriend that person and make the millions of dollars that would most likely be there for the ONLY true BLACK person in the world. Now lets remember what I am identifying as black, Black is ALL colors blended together, Hope this helps. Have a wonderful week ahead.

The plot thickens, Water Course Way, No mystery here, In many post that I have read of Mr Gay Boy he has been replied to as Sowal Gay Boy, I have read many post from the past to present. Seems paranoia runs amuck here? If Mr. Gay Boy has issue with being noted as such I might suggest he contact me via PM or just post it here. I would hope that you would not take exception to me referring to you as Mr. WaterCourseWay or Mr. Way .. You understand where I am going with this.

Now lets make this statement here and plain for all to see. I find myself being the subject matter in this thread more so then the original posting. Please enjoy yourselves on this from now forward, I have stated what I have about the Subject matter and that's my opinions. What my skin/race or anything else has to do with this thread is oddly enough a whole different thread if one wants to start one.

I have brought to this community a vast amount of experience as well as wiliness to become supportive in the community. It is getting rather apparent that my welcome on this blog is growing thin as they say from some of the side comments of conspiracies to paranoia of who I am by my knowledge of others.

I am not a blogger and nor do I choose to make it an everyday part of my life. I have retired in this area, I own property in 3 counties here in the panhandle as well as in Alabama and Georgia. I can choose where and when I want to be at one place or the other. As well as I can choose where and when I choose to Blog. I had hoped that I could become involved in this community without any fan fare or prejudgement. This Blog seems to be very self sustaining and I being a bit independent myself feel the need to just ignore the petty emotional laden comments and move on. Not saying I will not continue to post where and when I feel I would like to share my thoughts, just that this thread has proven to become off topic in its inception. Good Day!
