love the comments of these two individuals (i would call them "gentlemen" but that would be such a mischaracterization) regarding haiti's devastating earthquake. so compassionate and "christian", wouldn't you say? i guess that's why there is a hell and paybacks.

My perfect beach
I heard about Robertson's comments. What did Limbaugh say?

They speak for themselves, they do not represent anyone other than themselves and their followers.

For anyone to think they represent all Christians is as narrow minded as they are.

That would only be 21 million people according to their claims, not a small number.

These gentlemen are simply playing to their base, just as Sarah Palin does. There are very real finacial gains in doing this, which is one big component of their "belief" system , and they will always have uncondition support of this base under any circumstances.

Limbaugh and Roberston also know that the more that they are attacked for their particular beliefs (regardless of how nutty they may be to you or I), the more they will be supported by their base. It is an ongoing, simbiatically cozy relationship.

If they are the only ones talking and are not being denounced by the Christian community................

Same thing with the Islamic religion and terrorism. The only way this idiocy stops is if people repeatedly and publicly denounce certain opinions and actions - otherwise you are giving them your tacit approval.

I certainly don't approve and they most certainly have been denounced, but I just can not wrap my mind around anyone thinking they represent all Christians.

who said they represented all christians? my point was they hold themselves out to be christians so it's perfectly acceptable to offer an opinion on whether or not they measure up.
