Which ones specifically do you feel were valid?

I don't think any of them stand up to much scrutiny or override the fact that she swore to do a job/serve a constituency and then quit halfway through.
I will not argue with you about this! I stated that her presentation of her position under very tough questioning by Chris Wallace met my acceptance of what she said. What are your sources that completely refute the suits and harassment by her detractors? Left wing websites and ideologues? Enough! You pay your money and you take you choice!

Key Reason Palin Gave For Quitting May Be False | The Plum Line

"One of the chief reasons Sarah Palin has given for resigning as Governor of Alaska is that her state?s taxpayers are being forced to spend money defending her government against ethics complaints that would otherwise fund teachers, cops, and road repair.

During her resignation speech, Palin presented herself as a heroic defender of the taxpayer. She said that money being spent on government lawyers to defend against these ?frivolous ethics violations? could be ?going to things that are very important, like troopers and roads and teachers and fish research.? Palin repeated exactly the same point this week.

But David Murrow, a spokesperson for the Governor, said in an interview that much of this money was budgeted to the lawyers in advance and would have gone to them anyway, even if state lawyers hadn?t been defending against these ethics complaints.

In response to our questions, the Governor?s office provided us with a detailed breakdown of the millions Palin has claimed has gone to defending against ethics complaints. It does list roughly $1.9 million in expenditures.
But Murrow, the spokesperson, acknowledged to our reporter, Amanda Erickson, that this total was arrived at by adding up attorney hours spent on fending off complaints ? based on the fixed salaries of lawyers in the governor?s office and the Department of Law. The money would have gone to the lawyers no matter what they were doing. The complaints are ?just distracting them from other duties,? Murrow said.

In other words, while these lawyers might have been free to do other legal work for the state, the ethics complaints have apparently not had the real world impact Palin has claimed, and didn?t drain money away from cops, teachers, roads and other things.

Similarly, TPM reports that there are only three ethics complaints outstanding against the Palin administration in any case ? which, combined with the above, casts serious doubts on one of her chief stated reasons for quitting."

I don't think any of them stand up to much scrutiny or override the fact that she swore to do a job/serve a constituency and then quit halfway through.

I have been asking people what qualities she has that make them think she is a viable candidate since John McCain (or someone on his staff) picked her for the #2 spot in that campaign...no one has ever been able to answer that question, with anything other than: " I like her; she is just a regular person; she is fiesty"...or words to that effect.

I have come to believe it is her attitude that some people like--and it is her attitude that turns me off--the sarcasm; the manipulation; the in your face lack of respect; and the winking...it reminds me of an insecure high school cheerleader's attitude when she's trying to attract the football team captain.

Then, I add her obvious lack of understanding of issues; her knee-jerk statements; and I just can't see what that 26% see in her--and as I said, so far, no one has been able to articulate it, either to me, or in anything I have read or heard--even on Fox News.

And, there are so many other Republican women so much more capable. Kay Bailey Hutchinson and Meghan McCain come to mind right now, but we had a long list of them last year when we were posting about this.

And yet, for whatever reason, she continues to get people's attention...I think maybe it would be good if everyone took a real hard look at the situation beyond the pretty face and flippant attitude, but that's just my opinion. I just know that she is not the role model I want for my students or my granddaughter.

No offense, but that's pure bull$hi!
There are a lot of people, besides me, who would disagree with you. There is a presentation on Feb. 13th at the library all day on the Constitution and what it is and what it means. I'll be there to refresh my memory. Might I respectfully suggest you and any others who have the same impression you express above do the same? I, and my wife, will skip an hour if necessary to attend "Hands Across the Sand". I am sure you would be welcome.
