So I found the event announcement on the Walton County Tea Party website- are Libertarians and Teabaggers the same?

Walton County Tea Party Patriots

It might have been worth attending, but it now appears it will have an agenda. I would have been interested in a discussion of the Constitution without all the tea party commentary.
According to what I have read and been told, the presentation runs about seven hours and is presented on 1 hour long DVDs. I'll know more about it after the first hour.

uncalled for is favorably comparing a second rate public university with harvard.

I did not take it that way. I took it to mean great Americans can come from many places even, what you classify a second rate university and not everyone that comes out of Harvard, Yale or Princeton is guaranteed to be a great American just because of an Ivy league college education.

I truly think it is more about the human and less about the school, which is why many brilliant and successful Americans had no or little formal education.

I still kind of like the fact that our president collects his thoughts and feelings on an issue, writes them down and refines them, then presents those thoughts and feelings in a coherent way using the latest in technology, which actually has been used by every president since Eisenhower. Somehow this just seems better than winging it with some reminders written on one's hand.

And my goodness - every single word out of Obama's mouth is picked apart so that he almost HAS to rely on a prepared speech. One slip up and - wham - his goose is cooked. Each word has to be calculated so that no one can misinterpret or use as a sound bite over and over... It is sad, but I'd sure be afraid to speak without a prepared speech - the buzzards are always circling!

Andy, what I don't have a clue about is why you are being so darn rude. I would appreciate the courtesy of an answer to my question.

You said Palin has all the attributes to be POTUS but that she isn't "there yet". Please tell me which attributes she possesses that lead you to believe that she is POTUS material and what she needs to do to be there yet.
he can't

Definitely, and I am sure that applies to others too.

I am no political fan of Sarah Palin, don't think she is a good candidate for President, but Andy listed some reasons, and while others might not agree with his reasons, he did list them.

I think we can all agree that what one person feels qualifies a good candidate for President might not be what we consider good qualifications and yet all are valid, especially to that person. If not that would mean our own opinions are not vaild either.

And opinions are never objective on either side of a political discussion.
