just because 55% of those polled think that, doesn't make it correct; it just means they haven't done their homework except for reading the "talking points"...I think it's pretty confident of Stan Greenberg and James Carville to put that question in--gives some good information about the mindset of the ones answering-- and the ones polled were "those most likely to vote in the mid-term election" which translates into the base of the opposition party. So, these results are not at all surprising.
In hard ball politics, it's always smart to know what the other side is thinking; helps with the message development.;-)

Well, if you want to know what the knee-jerk left is thinking, Salon is one of the first places to check. (MSNBC is the knee-jerk extreme left)
I hit a lot of news sites every day including both Fox News and Salon to try and sift through all of the positioning and find real facts. Its really hard to do on either of these sites.
