She/he is new to the forum and is full of lonnnnnnnnnnng posts and the more outrageous the better. It's ok to respond but - absolutely the best policy is ignore. Trolls do need to be fed. I'll stop feeding as of today

Gidget

When I just don't have the time I often de facto ignore YouKnowWho.

It is so darn easy blowing her facts (alledged) out of the water.

I am reminded of our infamous trolls from years gone by, 2bfabian, sandybanks et al. One would create another in order to bump a thread on some conspiracy theory that was making the e-mail circuit. Regular members wouldn't respond so they had to create another member and talk to themselves. They would get warnings and play it safe in passive-aggressive ways.
somewhat entertaining but mostly sad ...............
I doubt that most trolls truly leave. (and if they are not fed, they'll try to feed themselves)

I certainly hope you are not putting Sarawind, 30Ashopper, Yarzarctoo, Idlewind, futurebeachbum and myself along with others with a more Conservative bent than yours, into the role of "trolls" just because we don't agree with your and many other's stand on what is transpiring in this nation.
For example, my opinions and experience is anything but sad as far as it going to form my present attitude on what is happening in the country right now. I, in my lifetime, through from FDR to Obama, have never seen such a convoluted, out of control inexperienced presidency and congress. I can see November from my house.

No worries...

Daddy-o has a nose for trolls with multiple aliases much like the child snatcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang...

Aahh yes, Daddy-O knows who/what to watch - that's where the passive-aggressive comes in. He'd no doubt prefer to be doing more useful things though.:D

I don't think you need to worry about that. You are anything but a troll, and even those in here who are diametrically opposed to everything that you post will agree with me.

Nope, no one did.

not to worry Andy A! Trolls are obvious - and not because of varying opinions. They have tactics and agendas. You're NOT a troll! You just voice strong opinions. no prob with that.

I'll echo what Rita said. Some of you use courtesy and a respect for the facts. Some of you use lies, hatred, and bigotry. It's fairly simple to see who to avoid. It's sometimes harder to avoid speaking up when the haters are so damn annoying.

did anyone else listen to the Diane Rehm Show on NPR this mornning. It was quite a civil discussion of the Tea Party and its goals and ideas.
The Tea Party | The Diane Rehm Show from WAMU and NPR
.
I listened to it through your link. Thanks!
I always learn something from her show - a favorite!
I liked that the originators of Tea Party do not want it to be about social issues such as abortion .... The use of the term "party" in the name seems a misnomer since the appearance to me is that they mostly want to influence legislation?

I thought the question about the Coffee Party from a caller was interesting in that the guests seemed to feel since that movement started after the TP, it would not take hold as well. I'm not sure why they feel that way. It will be interesting to see how much civility there is at gatherings and if the founders of the movements are able to keep the focus on their original ideas without "Partiers" going off in inflammatory directions.:dunno:
