This threads premise has already been refuted. Why the poisonous bickering needs to continue is beyond me..
Don't feed the trolls. :nono1: They are just like alligators - keep feeding them and they will just keep coming back for more and poisoning the political forum. They suck up all the energy that could be used for positive discussion towards solutions.

This is why I support all gay relationshuips as well as Gay Marriage--there are no abortions--just the desire to adopt, raise, and nurture children cast off by straight couples. The sanctity of life seems to be supported here.

My whole point for the original post...I thought(wrongly might I add) that the Federal government WOULD NOT be using any tax payers money to fund abortions in the Obama Health Care plan. There were very public deals made between the President and the small group of Democrats who were holding up the passing of this bill (that many Americans didn't really want) that there would be no federal funding of abortions.
Then it turns out that this "deal" made by our President wasn't what it was made out to be... abortions were covered in the many pages of the bill, we were warned "you have to pass it to find out what's in it." I was disappointed again by him, and consider this an our right lie to the American people on his part.
I don't believe in Abortions unless for rape victims or when the life of the mother who might be in danger...I don't feel that they should be used for birth control. We all know where babies come from...we all have a local drug store near by that sells birth control. I have personal knowledge of women who have had multiple abortions... they admit they use it as a back up plan in case "it happens".... perhaps that colors my opinion on the matter.

I thought a forum was for sharing ideas and having discussions between folks of different views. I haven't seen any trolls here so you can take your can of Troll Spray and move on. We are playing nice.:D Maybe we aren't agreeing but our banter has been respectful to each other. I think deep down we all know we aren't going to change anyone's mind on this subject.:dunno:

And, there are many rape victims who do not believe in abortion and would be offended that they might fall into this category. The bottom line is that this is not a one size fits all and never will be. Roe vs. Wade will never be repealed. It's very personal and should be left that way. As far as those opposed to federal funding and the President lying again, the Federal Gov't can easily get around this by offering a 'medical spending account' in our new healthcare....somewhere in the range of $500-$1,500/year and remove the verbiage of abortion in the law. Then, it's a moot point.

Haaaaa! Haaaaaa!
As a former teacher,I found that my students, retained more, understood more, and were able to make more informed decisions when they did their own research.

But this isn't a classroom, and you aren't the one in charge of teaching any of us study skills. If you make what can be seen as an inflamatory or controversial statement, the burden of proof is 100% on you to provide an accurate citation for what you're claiming.

It's extremely sloppy on your part, and if this were academe, you'd fail the assignment for not properly supporting your thesis in any way shape or form.

As a forum for sharing ideas, Yzarctoo is not trying to teach at all and made that clear. Posting her opinion should not bring excoriation from others just because they do not agree. There's no burden of proof on a person's principles. If you want to rebuke a post find out your own legitimate proof and run with it.

Could it be that abortion is NOT the reason you support gay relationships and gay marriages.

This is the most ridiculous statement i've ever heard from you. Oh, wait....that was post # 442 for you. My bad.

So Obama didn't lie or break any promise, and the only abortions paid for will be medically necessary life saving procedures.
