People have been saying for 18 months things are about to get really ugly while dems waived their "recovery summer" flags. The fact is things are getting worse not better and there's been plenty of time and trillions of borrowed dollars to turn things around. The policies of this administration have been disastrous to the economy as predicted.

So when the economy is still in the crapper a year from now will Bush still be the reason? It's laughable to see people trying to pin this on Bush. I blame Chris Dodd and Barney Frank. Remember those guys...

The end of the tax cuts on top of the tax increases are going to make you wish GW Bush was back. You think jobs are scarce now...

No, these problems were not an issue 8 yrs ago. They are Now because President Bush & the Republican Congress took a booming economy and turned it into a shambles.

Some inconvenient facts for you Uga. Obama signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act promising a fast economic recovery by ?putting Americans to work.? Obama and his clusterflock have been claiming their policies are working, despite the incontrovertible economic news. Jay Leno and Jon Stewart have been having lots of giggles making fun of Obama?s faulty thinking.

Is it working? Don?t think so. Unemployment is dancing around double digits. Congress needs to cut taxes for small business. It?s small business that makes the world go round. Not Obama. Congress needs to get rid of all the hideous red tape small businesses have to deal with and it?s a massive Excedrin headache. Congress needs to stop this wild ?kid gone wild with a credit card? spending.

This is one of the reasons millions of Americans who never gave a thought to politics have gone and joined the growing tea party revolution. A place they can show their displeasure, frustrations and disgust with the direction down the toilet the economy is quickly circling.

The bill you mentioned was all democrat posturing. They did not want the bill to pass so they did one of their smarmy tricks by presenting it with a ?take it or leave it and you have no opportunity to offer amendments, so there, knowing the republicans would not do it that way. Campaign season is on Uga and politicians will say and do most anything to stay in power.

I hope you wrote a similar thank-you letter to the last president who turned a $236B budget surplus into a $1.2 Trillion Deficit in 8 yrs via two wars, at least one of them unnecessary, and by giving substantial tax cuts to the wealthiest couple of percent of Americans. Did you thank him for infringing our civil liberties via the Patriot Act? Did you thank him for destroying the American image among the society of civilized nations?

Not Wastin Away, but I did write him and thank him for keeping me, my family and all Americans safe from another terrorist attack in our country after 9-11. I thanked him for the Patriot Act because I believe that kept us safe. I thanked him for those tax cuts, that Obama now appears to realize are a good thing. I also thanked him for all he did to fight Aids in Africa. I think that Obama has totally destroyed our image to the world, we have become a bunch of bowing "panties". And as far as that deficit thing goes, Obama is going for the Deficit Record in the Guinness World Book of Records.
