It's not so much as the people wanting Anlge or O'Donnell as it is about people wanting the likes of Reid and Pelosi out.

Anybody noticed that almost all of the Dems are not running on their "accomplishments" during the past two years?

That's fine to dislike an incumbent, but do we have to do a 180 degree extreme to make a point? I'd like to see Angle or O'Donnell find Washington DC on a map.

Not that I disagree with you but I can find plenty of morons in both political parties as well as the Tea Party. I am really getting tired of hearing what I know is false regarding the Tea Party from people who have never been to a meeting, know nothing about values, family and otherwise and haven't the first inkling of what is really in the Constitution or what "states rights" is all about. (Please spare me the idiocy of asking me to explain, if you can't figure it out for yourself, you're part of the reason our nation is doomed if it remains on its present course.) We have many, many, problems of greater significance and consequence than whether Islam is attempting to implement Sharia law. It won't happen, IMO, and is nothing but a distraction by those who will be able to cause us all to submit to their wants and desires. These wants and desires will come with a loss of personal freedom and liberty. Of this I am firmly convienced, if indeed, we allow it to happen.

I also agree that this is a stupid issue to be focusing on when we have much bigger issues.

So then why is this what the Tea Party candidate is talking about and why is this the best candidate they can find?

Here is the answer to your question. Not all Tea Party candidates are great, wonderful and will solve all our problems at the state level or in D.C. Neither are all the candidates that are Democrat or Republican. What many in this country see in Tea Party candidates, good or bad, is a change in the make-up of our government, particularly federal. They are willing to give the ordinary citizen a try instead of the entrenched politician who has broken our government. They may be wrong but we won't know that until we see what transpires. I have never seen many citizens so infused with the "throw the incumbents out" philosophy as there is today. Not only is Congress disfunctional, our jurisprudence system is as well. Judges make law from the bench instead of interpreting it and lawyers take any frivolous lawsuit they can get before the court if there is a chance it will make them big bucks. Yes, at this point in time, it should be very obvious that I think our governent, all three branches, stinks and I am not alone in those thoughts.

Andy I'm confused, you won't let the average citizen vote on land use changes, but any idiot that can qualify and run is ok?

I think the theory that the United States is some sort of experiment was over about 200 years ago. I think we're pretty well here to stay, despite the doom sayers.

The only reason that so many people are infused with "throw the incumbents out" is because that is the RNC and Tea Party drum beat right now. Where was that mentality in 2006? It didn't exist because at the time the Republicans had the majority. If they get it back will that still be the mentality in 2012, I doubt it will apply to anything but the President and Vice President at that point.

I may not be able to vote for them, but I have happily contributed funds to their campaign. My dog could run this country better than the current administration (Senate, House & President)!!! Come Nov. 2nd the voice of the people will be heard and we will take back this country....YOU CAN COUNT ON IT!!!

Take it back from whom? The voice of the people has been heard in every election save for 2000. If every politician is replaced in the coming election thats fine, the voice of the people will be heard as it should be. It might even be relief since I won't have to listen to you morons screaming about taking the country back from the American people who own it.

The RNC is distorting the facts. Getting someone riled up against the democrats for not renewing the Bush tax cuts who makes $30,000.00/year would be a pretty good example.
