I do

heartbren...have some funn...flip it around 180 degrees

I did until I saw the cattiness from grown adults on here. Obviously this is how ya'll have fun. What is wrong with you people? I'm just glad to know I would never make fun of anyone, good times or bad times. We are here to enjoy beauty not ugliness. Thank you for showing me not everyone here walks the walk as I did when I knew I was wrong.I'm done. Ya'll have fun all you want on my behalf.

Heartbren: I apologize if my comments hurt you. Period. Most of the people on these forums are trying to have a light-hearted conversation. This really isn't the right place to try to pour your heart out. Like Bob said, just lightened up and join the party. It's just kidding. We all take a little ribbing from time to time. So, again, I'm sorry.

Thank you. I am not pouring my heart out. I just don't like only my name (other than actors) being posted on here like I am some crazy person. That is not fun and no one else would like it if it were them. I've always liked being able to interact with people on here and this has tainted my view of some people. I appreciate your apology. I did the same for my angry posts and realize I should calm down before responding to things that upset me. I am not angry now, I just found this thread offensive since directed at me. If we could just quit pointing fingers and stop this childish thread I will be forever grateful and happy. THE END?:D

crazy

First time I ever got a text telling me I had to check out a Sowal thread because someone was cracking up. (Thanks DTI).

I think I missed a lot of crazy because I can't read un-punctuated run-on paragraphs.

Seriously, I'm calling BS until there's some actual evidence.

That is really nice. I hope when you people who are so childish have to go through this one day. I was not cracking up and don't appreciate anyone being such a gossip, catty and childish at my expense. This was absolutely unecessary to start this thread, Kurt, and I think you owe me an apology as I apologized to anyone I may have upset on a site that is plausible. I would never intentionally do anything to hurt anyone, but I guess that is not the case for us all. I moved here to get away from the stress I was living with in New Orleans and used this site a lot which I am now realizing is very clickish and catty for some.

Ok if the conversation is about the cheese place on 30A then it is funny.

If it's some back way of poking fun at people because their opinion is different, then sorry I don't find it funny either.

It is easy to say " lighten up" but it is also just as easy to say "grow up".

Heartbren had already apologized on the thread, explained she was at a sensitive place right now, worried about Diane, and yet here she is being made the butt of some joke.

Funny, honestly I don't think so if truly the intent of this thread was to poke fun at someone else. Hopefully that was not the intent.

Can't find the 'thank's button on here ...but Thank you, Minnie. I see from your number of posts that you've been here for a long time, and it's good to see you're a nice person who'll defend a new neighbor.
From the number of my posts, you'll see that I realized pretty quick that this is not a forum that welcomes newcomers warmly, and quickly refrained from posting much of anything. I do, however, enjoy reading the new threads almost every night...and almost every night I'm amazed at the cliquishness of the group, as well as the negativity of so many of the members. I only post to one other forum, but the difference is utterly amazing...granted, the other forum is for fishermen, but there is such camaraderie among our members, welcoming new members with open arms. We're like family, although some of us have never met. I have lost track of all the fishermen who have introduced themselves to me on one of PCB's piers, or Okaloosa, or Pensacola pier, recognizing me from the forum. It's truly amazing the friends we've made from all over the country through emeraldcoastpierfishing.com . I invite you all to go and lurk at our forum to see what it could be like, if you chose to be friendlier.
What bothers me most about this thread is the fact that the creator of this forum, Kurt, started it. I see that heartbren had a 'meltdown', but to create a thread about a fellow human being who is obviously stressed to the max is heartless to say the least. I don't know Kurt, obviously, and I see that some of you say he is a 'good person'...would a 'good person' blatantly ridicule a person to this extent?
Heartbren is one of your neighbors, while I am not...I'm thankful every time I read these bullying posts that I didn't choose SoWal as my home, having to assume that some of you may actually be this way in person.
I'd like to think that the major population of SoWal is as friendly as the beaches are amazing. The panhandle is such a laid back region, it's hard to imagine why some it's residents are so negative and downright mean. If I were a tourist and came across this forum, this thread in particular, I'd be more turned away from the meanness of the residents than the threat of harm from the oil spill.
I pray that heartbren and others like her, who have come to your neighborhood in search of not just the natural environmental beauty of the area, but also friendship...will find that. If they can't find it there, they can certainly find it here at the west end of PCB, where we welcome people warmly.
Perhaps new member applicants to this forum should be screened to be sure their opinions match those of the established members, but then again it might get too boring around here. By the way...whatever happened to SWGB, the king/queen of SoWal ?

I'm not sure Kurt was really talking about anyone specifically. I certainly didn't take it that way. I thought this thread was just one of those nonsensical threads that people just say goofy things on. It was for funn. I was the only one who brought Heartbren into this, and , again, I am sorry for that.

Again, I have to say that these forums are not the place to pour your heart out, especially if you are stressed. This is a public forum. You have to remember you are sending out your thoughts and feelings to strangers.

About a year ago, a wise poster said it's OK to type out whatever you think or feel, but just don't hit the send button. Type what you feel, then take a deep breathe, and re-read what you said, and think to yourself, do I really want to say this to the world. I have typed many long diatribes and just deleted them because they were dumb, boring, or just plain lame.

In short, most people come here for funn. We kid each other all the time. I don't think any of us are really mean-spirited, and hopefully we can continue to be as candid as we have always been. Maybe Kurt can open a new forum called "Sensitive, Thoughtful Feelings Only".

I'M KIDDING!!!

I have welcomed over 17,000 members to this forum, most of them personally, and sent out good vibrations to millions others. I like grilled cheese and glad Jim also had my idea of a grilled cheese restaurant and opened one in an airstream in Seaside. Perfection! I recommend putting on shoes that are one size bigger and getting a cheese sammich today on Scenic 30A. Life is good.

Need a change? http://www.sowal.com/bb/employment/53364-meltdown-30a-hiring-season.html

Too bad it's not a good day for fishing. Or a long stroll on a pier. Not necessarily a short one.

If this is a warm welcome to The Meltdown...than I'm sure Jim appreciates the 'exposure' . 'Eek!' & 'laughing' is a great review for a new restaurant:sarc:

Wow! 17,000 members and yet just a handful of posters...maybe you haven't warmed as many hearts as you'd like to think!?!

It's never a bad day for fishing, Kurt :) The sharks are ALWAYS hungry...care to join me for that long walk on a short pier? ;-)

Ahhh...it IS fun saying mean things! Now I understand!! Come on everybody! Join in the fun and let's see who can be the most wickedly mean! :sarc:
