How many Telephone Books does one need?

Dang! I still didn't get one...I'll be over to pick yours up first thing in the morning!...or maybe the next day... maybe next week...just leave them out there, and I'll be by to pick them up... maybe tomorrow...fer sure, next week...

I find this quite interesting.
I have had phone service for about two years and never had a phone book delivered to my house or left in my mailbox. Maybe the phone directory delivery people are taking the books from the west end and smuggling them across the Grayton-Dixon line to force surrender. Give us all your great neighborhoods or suffer the wrath of phone book deliveries. Who knows? I'm just glad there are not piling up like cord wood at my place. Of course, since I said that, when I arrive tomorrow I will probably have fifty wet, soggy phone books waiting for me.

You can have mine also and the house next door that has been deserted for a long time gets them also and they just lay by the door piling up and getting rained on. They should be in good shape by the time you get here or maybe you can share them with someone who isn't getting any. The phone company here is a trip. They also gave me a smaller version to keep in my car I guess. There is room in the car for them. What a waste of money.
