I would vote for Trump. It's about time we were ran as a business! ;)

I couldn't trust anyone with an extreme comb over hair job. plus, the USA isn't a business. but I agree, we need more accountability and very long range thinking/planning/doing. Everything govt does anymore is politically-motivated, corporate-driven and as shortsighted as possible.. to say the very least.

I watched Trump being interviewed on TV this morn. What an egomaniac!

This Lewis Black clip is hilarious - we could have our very own crazy third-world dictator:..:D

Right here!
In the case of Clinton - 1st term the combined impact of:
  1. Removal of indexing on income tax
  2. Motor Voter
  3. NAFTA
  4. MFN status for China
  5. HIPAA
  6. WIPO treaty (which also led to the DMCA on his watch)
made voting for him impossible. Hiis intervention in Kosovo and signing of the DMCA, Enron, Worldcom and support for Kyoto in his second term just reinforced the decision.

Why NAFTA? I thought that trade agreement was great. It helped Mexico quite a bit and smoothed over trade with Canada. I think we need to finish what we started there, there's still work to do. This was one of the things I actually liked about Clinton. Welfare reform orchestrated with the republican congress was also an excellent.

NAFTA was great for Mexico and Canada but terrible for thousands of workers who saw their job shipped overseas. Prior to NAFTA every town in this area had a clothing factory of some sort providing jobs and pumping money into the local ecnomy. NAFTA killed off practically every one of those factories and sent those jobs and the money they spend on supplies, electricity, gas etc. offshore. We need to kill NAFTA.

Free trade is bad? :dunno:

NAFTA: A Decade of Success | Office of the United States Trade Representative

It has it's flaws, but we shouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water. All three countries have benefited from it. Plus Mexico has become more stable through higher wages, higher employment, and better jobs. That's what I call smart foreign diplomacy.
