"Lions and tigers and bears on MY",
@ALcomBirmingham: Blue Cross notifies 87,000 Alabama policy holders that plans don't meet Obamacare standards, won't be available http://t.co/703q0xGMpn
One state reporting. 49 to come.

Are you saying these people are being kicked out their plan and have no where to turn? Are they going to have to look for healthcare at the emergency room now because they are uninsurable? Well they can thank Obama for saving their lives. According to Michele Bachmann if Obamacare didn't kill them they would be facing death panels and who knows which way the vote could go.

I'm going to pause here and read your link.

Oh wait, it looks like Obamacare is working as designed. They are going to be offered a choice of plans and can even go outside the exchange to purchase whatever plan they wish. The Rightwing is having hissy fits over something that has been in the law for years. You Conservatives can't read anything over ten words long, like a headline. This is from your link.

Blue Cross spokeswoman Koko Mackin said in an email that the plans did not meet the new requirements under the Affordable Care Act for 2014.

“To provide a smooth transition, our members were offered the option to be automatically enrolled in a new ACA-compliant plan comparable with their current coverage, or to choose from any of our new individual health plans during the six-month open enrollment period," Mackin said.

The 87,000 policy holders amount to 4 percent of Blue Cross and Blue Shield's members in Alabama. They include those who purchase individual plans to cover themselves and those who buy family coverage.
Mackin said customers were also informed that they might be eligible for financial assistance with their premiums and cost sharing.
She said a number of factors will determine whether they will pay more for new plans that meet Affordable Care Act requirements. Among those factors are whether they choose a platinum, gold, silver or bronze plan, where they live, their age and the size of their household, whether they use tobacco and whether they are eligible for an advanced premium tax credit. Mackin said premiums also include fees and taxes imposed by the Affordable Care Act.

“We will continue to provide our customers clear and transparent communications as we help them navigate the many changes brought on by healthcare reform,” Mackin said.

Poppy, don't try to hard. All we get from steelman and Saluki is a bunch of mealy-mouthed political drool. They're not very good at saying what they mean and meaning what they say. It's all just impotent rage.

I voted for President Obama because unfortunately the choices from the Republican side did not appeal to me. Senator McCain seems to be continually trying get us into a war and extend the wars we are in, Gov. Romney tried to appeal to to many different factions and I personally had issues with his attitudes toward government employees and the middle class. Do I think President Obama has done an awesome job, no. I have issues with the idea that we killed an American on foreign soil via a drone strike. I get it that this guy was a terrorist but he was entitled to rights. Do I like the idea of the AHA, yes. Do I think there needs to be some work to it, yes. Personally I find most of the problems in Congress, you have all these folks who talk a good game but can't or won't produce for the average citizen. They all have their orders and none of them will really do what is most beneficial to the PEOPLE. I used to be a Republican but I refuse to vote the party, thought they were mostly right and then saw how they were attacking me because of who I worked for. Now I am Independent and have continued to vote across party lines. Is it perfect, no but it is my right. I used to be a few issue voter, now I vote based on a multitude of issues. Am I disappointed in politicians, yes. Almost makes me believe term limits would be a good thing.... Thanks for reading my rant.
Well said...term limits,no pacs,no gerrymandering,and above all...no lobbyists

I see, he's comparing what is at worst a screw up to obstruction of justice, corruption, you name it. Or is there something else brewing? I'm not on steelman's chain email list, so maybe there's a smoking gun I'm not aware of. I can't get the image of Nixon in khakis wearing a neckerchief out of my mind.
Fox News beating the Benghazi drum....next will be Kentucky teabagger Paul getting his Cruz badge by politicizing the Fed. It's like show and tell at the one room country schoolhouse.

It's just a bunch of political word salad. There's not even enough vitriol to make it interesting. Clearly the problem is that they have no message, so they drop a few hints and expect us to decipher. Chant a slogan, put your own words in quotes, post a link, and run off.

Remember before Obamacare when everyone raved about their health insurance rates constantly dropping while the quality of coverage improved?

Me neither but you wouldn't know it listening to Republicans.

I am just curious, did you have issues with President Bush or is this a R vs D issue for you?
