Stress is the #1 cause of physical aging in human beings. Look at even one term presidents and the before and after is drastic.

It is now up to the Republicans to set an agenda, pass those agenda bills and send them to the President. If he then vetos them the monkey is then on his back. It will give the Republicans plenty of ammunition for the 2016 election if he goes against the will of the people.

What if the will of a significant chunk of people is for the President to veto the bills? I'm not so sure that the values of the Republican house and Senate well aligned with the will of the people. I'll bet the GOP would like to shut the government down for instance. I wonder what the people would have to say about that. Maybe the President will be seen as the emergency brake in an out of control car heading off a cliff. One can be reasonably certain that the GOP will be certainly unreasonable. They are utterly incapable of compromise. It happens everytime they gain a power advantage, and their all-in and all or nothing approach fails miserably each and every time as well. Anyhow, it may be fun to watch, who knows?

As is almost always the case, you and I disagree. You and your friends refuse to acknowledge the Nov. election. The South now has one Democratic Senator in Congress. Bill Nelson. As far as compromise, I disagree with you once more. If reasonable solutions to taxation, regulation of business, welfare reform and immigration can be proposed as well as other issues, I think there will be compromise.

I always love how Republicans talk big about the will of the people while ignoring the last two Presidential elections.

I don't know what you mean by "refuse to acknowlege". If by that you mean my panties aren't in a wad over it, you would be correct.

As far as I'm concerned, the greatest economic problem the US has is government spending. There are too many people jumping on the gravy train.

Spending, waste and pork are huge issues. But in my mind the biggest problem is how corporations now own politicians and the process. How they use loopholes or move offshore to avoid supporting the USA!

Conservatives are never more patriotic than when justifying corporate tax avoidance schemes and condoning shafting employees out of decent wages and benefits.
