South of Philly just put out a new menu. I really wish I could try some of these awesome sandwiches, and I hear the salads are the best. But, I just gotta have the philly! Maybe some day... This is one of those places where you'll run into lots of SoWal locals and friends!

Could they put less than 500 calories and 10g of fat beside the cheesesteak...it would make me feel better. It all looks tasty!

You don't worry about calories and fat when you eat at South of Philly. You just flat out enjoy! I've got to try the pastrami sandwich. Haven't been able to find a good one since House of Klaus closed.

Haven't tried it but I watched the deli at Publix make a Philly Sub...it looked awesome!!!! FYI their weekly sub specials are VERY good and fresh...just saying...

This makes sense since we all know not a single local depends on Publix for their livelihood.

And just to add, I eat subs at Publix on occasion. But a cheese steak from Publix is heresy.

You said choose between supporting Publix or a local business. I am stating that shopping any place where locals work is supporting locals.

I have no issue with where any of you shop. But when I have the choice between similar items, local or big box, I'll pick local every time.
