I think the idea that Panama City was ever family oriented is about the most laughable thing I have ever heard in my life.

It might have been family oriented in the sixties. I'm sure if we bring back the roller coaster and the pinball arcades, we can shake this "thug-fest" image we is getting lately...

well you have had a boring life

No, actually I've partied my ass off in Panama City a number of times. Not boring in the least.

You can still have family fun in PCB.

I've had lots of family fun there. In the 70's and 80's for certain. I think maybe you're just forgetting.

I never heard of the place until the early 80s. My first impression was that it was boozy, sleazy, cheesy, and tacky. In other words at the time, it was my kind of place. Not so much anymore. It's grown bigger, but its vibe hasn't changed much for me.

I was there in the 70's. The Ramada Inn in Ft. Walton was the hotspot! Then over to Destin to hang out at Nightown for the evenings! No guns, not a lot of alcohol. Just cocaine, weed and qualludes. We were very peaceful!

I remember Nitetown and the Green Knight.
