Geo, you're funny... They are slightly older with ill intent. Not elderly or anything like that. Multiracial but all similar mindset. Hope that helps. As for our first responders, they are great. They will not be working for free, PCB just approved $200k to pay for ours and others to assist with this mess. Men and women called in to work on family days off to control crap that could have been prevented... Cops have to be on duty to be covered if there was a shooting (could you imagine this nightmare... Furgerson comes to PCB and an officer from another jurisdiction involved, yup, sky falls...) I don't care what any of you think. The facts are out. In planning for Spring Break 2016 needs serious changes all around in all panhandle areas. Best wishes to our first responders and kudos to Bay Co Sheriff for his firm Stand on this, despise lack of govnt support.... See you at: http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/255/1840091/restaurant/Panama-City/Fahrenheit-Grill-Lounge-Panama-City-Beach Oh this is a restaurant.... Must be the wrong place.

How is this like Ferguson, Mo? I fail to see a connection.

Is anyone surprised? I'm sad but not surprised. I've been reading about shootings, drugs, massive crowds in the Walmart parking lot (in addition to a few beaches), deaths of young adults (found dead in room) and many other serious problems in PCB for weeks. Guns being in the mix is the worst part of all.

I don't know that I can access the popcorn emoticon from my phone. So I'll just say this is quite an interesting conversation to watch.

Pops, here's the summary... You'd see thousands of drunk and under the influence (drugs) people, ranging from about 18 to 25. You'd see hundreds of not so drunk or not so drug influenced people, some older, prepared and willing to physically prey on the aforementioned. You'd see a racial mix of people. Some with very interesting tattoos. You'd see clubs like Farienhiet and Shuckems selling "entry" ranging from $10 to $$$ to get in. They also advertise "free" drinks, nothing is free. You have to get to the bar tender first and you'll need to waive high dollar bills to get their "attention", they you get your free drink...how many can you carry? Hip hop or rap music will be prevelant for your listening enjoyment. Your bowels will periodically shake due to noise violating bass from car speakers. You'll wonder how businesses with State Liquor Licenses can take gobs of money at the door and thousands more at the bar, yet be out of business, or have " new owners" in about two months... If your lucky, you'll get solicited for a B.J. but be wary, its a scam to take your wallet or rob you. You'll see young girls from all backgrounds extremely volunerable and wish you could call their parents to come pick them up, but you can't so you go home and pray the get home safe. That's what you'll see pops. Hope I've given you a glimpse of it.
POPs LOL..he'll read tomorrow past POPs bedtime

What the hell is with this smart ass leader of the Hip Hop remark? You really do have a stick up your ass about black people don't you? Did it ever occur to you that I had already read that article when I posed the question? I'll pose it again: Do you really know all the facts at this point? Do you know the relation of the shooter to the victims? Maybe the shooter was the one who hosted the party. I suspect most of the victims were black just going by the names. Why not wait until you know the whole story before generalizing? So now you are trying to paint me as a supporter of hip hop culture because I'm willing to look at this objectively?? I pity you.

Deep breaths, Leader...I was just having fun with you.

And, no, the shooter was not the host of the party.

You paint this picture of some impending negrocalypse, for want of a better word. Maybe you should check your attic and between the walls. You could have blacks and not even know it.

I am so glad that the City of Atlanta shut down FreakNik. It was like PCB with expensive cars and clothes. The FreakNikkers would get out of their cars on Peachtree Road in Buckhead and start dancing, causing massive traffic jams. Forget shopping at Lenox and Phipps due to the huge crowds and loitering. Stores just shut down. Too much theft, and the people who were there to shop couldn't shop.

Back in the lates 70's and 80's on Okaloosa Island, where the Boardwalk is located, was a place where the youth, both locals and tourist would hang out during the day at the beach. At night those folks, shall we say had an alternative use for the area. There would be music, alcohol, drugs. I am sure there was an occasional altercation. I would also venture to guess that the sheer size during that era could have been overwhelming for law enforcement. I guess my point is that this area along our Emerald Coast has always been considered a party area. There are plenty of negatives to discuss but believe it or not there are positives. Some of them include, JOBS. Our area, Walton, is currently dependent on the tourist trade. We can say there are businesses moving in, we seem to be providing tax cuts to them but they are not bringing in hundreds or thousands of jobs. Because of those tourist, some who actually buy property here, our taxes are not near what they could be for the services we receive. Because of the proactive approach of Law Enforcement this year and what they learn annually I think we should be able to avoid, for the most part what occurs to our neighbors to the east. We have crime and some of it is committed by locals and we have really a short window when our crime rises during the spring and summer. For the most part I am confident how things are being addressed here.

A lot of #freaknik PCB tweets as of late.
