We need sane gun control

I'm sick of seeing innocents die. Especially children. Gun control is the only answer.

People debate mental health. Our society is mentally ill if we don't do something about it.

Something that would make is to their are fewer guns in our country. Gun makers have so much money and influence it just seems unbalanced. I suppose we also need to start educating our youth away from the gun-crazy culture we've become. I grew up with guns in all the movies and TV shows and in my house and shooting and hunting. I didn't need to.

I'm curious too. We have laws in place already. This weekend, I was stuck in traffic and a vehicle pased me in a no passing zone. This was also a construction zone. They had been riding my bumper in heavy traffic. There was an oncoming vehicle. She had to cut me off and I had to hit the breaks. There wasn't much space between me and the line of cars ahead of me. I dont tailgait but I do keep up with the flow of traffic. It almost ended in tagedy. The person driving gave me a dirty look as she was passing! Crazy. Luckily I was paying attention because she kept running up on me as the traffic changed speed and she had swerved into the other lane a few times to apparently look for an opening. This was a middle aged person with passengers in the car. A quarter mile down the road, a trooper had someone else pulled over.

Chicago has some of the most strict gun laws in the country. Hasn't done them much good. If anything gun control just takes away guns from the good guys and not from the bad guys.

Silly to think limiting guns in one are will have much of an effect. Just ask Wyatt Erp. Although it does seem that we have so many guns in this country that trying to limit them now is not the only solution.

If we were to take all assault weapons off the street it would help a lot. They cannot be used for hunting or anything useful. They can only be used for criminal activity.

Careful with the car analogy. It is indeed no small task for sober responsible people to operate a motor vehicle. They have to pass written and road tests. They must register the cars and have proof of insurance. Gun owners are not held to nearly as high a standard when it comes to a demonstration of responsibility.
