Willfully ignorant. Clearly Lou is unfamiliar with this memo or too lazy to read it.
Poppa Just read the memo a couple of times. That memo was a childish attempt at a end run around, that kind of crap should never and I glad it didn't happen. That is the kind of thing that would hurt our country. There comes a time when you have to say 'lets run someone better next time' and be an adult

LVT Just read the article and I cannot get past some points that I have read. First it says Trump is 'reportedly' advising, second its states 'the letter, according to politico' (if they have a letter then show it), then it states Trump will use executive privilege (there is no executive privilege for past presidents), Biden has the right to expose this to daylight, if its true he should do so. We should all want the truth but that word does not carry the weight it once did. You are correct on the pleaded guilty, that being said it is hard to not plead guilty to parading, demonstrating, and picketing when they have footage of you doing those things. A lot of Americans have done all these things and yet only the Jan 6th people have been found guilty of a crime because of them, thats not right
They have not been charged (or pleaded guilty) to parading, demonstrating, and picketing. They have been charged and have pleaded guilty to breaking and entering, assault and battery on a police officer, destruction of Federal property, trespassing on Federal property, and probably a dozen more crimes I can't keep track of the names. If you can look at the videos of this event and call it "parading" you are certainly the most disinformed person on this forum (maybe with the exception of Happy). These people carried and used tear gas and mace, wore helmet and body armor, and bludgeoned police with fire extinguishers, and the American Flag at one point, and anything else they could use for a club. You better open your eyes.

You are the referring to ones who pleaded guilty to the charge of parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building. The part you leave out is “in a Capitol building.” You can’t force your way through police barriers and break into the Capitol.
Many were allowed this plea to expedite the process and everyone of them should be thankful it ended there.
So far 684 people have been arrested and charged with crimes from minor to felonies. Anyone who paraded, picketed, or demonstrated peacefully can rest easy.

I would concede to your point but NO ONE has been charged with any of the high crimes we constantly hear about (insurrection, treason, ect)
Jesus effin' Christ, do you not understand that the justice system often depends on convicting people of lesser crimes than they are possibly guilty of committing? Do you live in a cave?

Lou has a problem. He can't differentiate between what people have been charged with, and what their actual crimes might have been had they been pursued to the letter of the law. I blame the education system. Being a carpenter as he says he is, is no excuse for profound ignorance.

LVT please look at the article again (linked below), it lists all 105 people that have pleaded guilty and I would guess about 75% of them pleaded guilty to parading, demonstrating, and picketing. I watched the Jan 6th event in real time from the live feed from the capital and I can assure you it looked a lot different then most of the edited clips that have made the rounds. If you think we have a fair media try to find the live stream videos from Jan 6th. My eyes are wide open

Poppa As I have already stated a couple of times, anyone that broke the law should be punished for that offense. The issue is these offenses should be in line with every other citizen that has committed the same crime. This is where the rub comes from

LOTB First try to stay calm it's gonna be alright, second lets be very clear NO ONE has even been charged with insurrection or treason. Your argument is very flawed. Do you live in a cave?

You just keep repeating the same point that I rendered meaningless without even trying to convince me that I'm wrong.
