I have to be honest. I read your post very quickly and I'm not sure what your point is. Please explains it to me like I'm five years old in a sentence or two. I doubt that net-zero would apply to things like air travel if that's what you are getting at. I doubt it will ever be achieved 100%, but but we've already covered that base. We are talking decades down the road for something approaching net-zero. Maybe they should change the name to net .0031459256536 just to lower expectations.

The door to helping this planet needs to be open so we can all or at least a healthy majority of us will go through that door. I believe there is hypocrisy in the terms net zero emissions or green energy because we all want AC, we all want to travel, we are not driving electric vehicles and we are not installing solar panels and wind turbines. So lets be honest about our planet and us humans on it. Fossil fuels bad for the planet. Humans have technology to reduce fossil fuels but we are not willing to go thru the door to help this planet. Information, incentives and conversations open the door. Political division, human greed and apathy closes the door.

All I can say is that the good people will do their best and try to keep learning along the way. Nothing is going to happen overnight, but some people are starting to at least think about making the transition. I guarantee you, things will improve.
