omg.....what'll they think of next?!
I've learned a lot on this thread. I didn't realize that some people keep metrics on the success rate of their prayers and that they have prayer queues. I would go absolutely crazy if I did that. I don't have the temperament for that. I always thought you just prayed and let it go. That's how I am about things in my life that I want to happen that I don't have any control over. I think about them every now and then and then the thought passes. That's the way I want it. Sometimes things go the way I want other times not. If it's something I have control over then I may try take action. Maybe that sounds a little too simple for some people.
For every ailment under the sun
There is a remedy, or there is none:
If there be one, try to find it:
If there be none, never mind it.

It's the only way I know how to live. I Learned the hard way. This is a hard topic for anyone to really debate because if you don't really do it how would you know it doesn't work. It may come off as kind of weird to some but it sure gives me lots of hope and with hope I can do anything. I can look back on my life and see what it was like before and look at my life today and realize I think I will stick with prayer. It does a Bobby good.![]()

But you are taking chances, you're assuming you have chosen the correct form of "god" to believe in. Remember most of the world does not share your belief whatever form it may be. Many believers are going to be in for a big surprise if there really is a day of reckoning but it doesn't really matter, if your faith brings you comfort carry on and good luck.
Then again maybe Heaven is just some big ole Godapalooza."Live a good life. If there are gods and
they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but
will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are
gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are
no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that
will live on in the memories of your loved ones." ? Marcus Aurelius
