I used to read National Lampoon back in the day, so I'm not easily offended by pictures and I love caricatures that make fun of political figures if they are done skillfully. I am mainly offended by people spreading lies and ignorance, (swiftboaters, birthers, deathers).

Thank you. "Racist" may be the most misused word in our vocabulary, today. It has lost as much meaning and impact as the "F" word. I wish people would go back and look at what it really means.

I think calling the poster racist is beyond the pale. These photoshopped pictures are all over the place and I don't think they are taken seriously by most people. You just look, react then move on and forget it.

Lots of them are funny. I love the Purple Pimp Suit Bush picture. It's so silly and makes me laugh. It is not serious. But calling someone racist is very serious indeed. You should apologize.

We send friends and visitors to this board, and I would be horrified if they saw threads like this and the "Obama is a gangsta rapper" or whatever the heck that other dumb thread was about- I don't understand defending material like this- it has no purpose other than to perpetuate a racial stereotype. While there may be some regular posters that think it is a hoot, I bet there is a very silent and invisible group that gasped like I did. I am proud to say that this sort of "humor" doesn't get laughs at our house.
