:lolabove: ...you should have just spent the night in your car last night! Man, two trips to Oklahoma in less than 24 hours! I haven't been yet, but many people rave about it. DId you get those Swedish meatballs?
I never visit Ikea without partaking of them--never! Honestly, 50% of the reason I look forward to the trip there is because of the cafe. I find if you time it right and pace yourself, you can squeeze in two meals during a day of shopping.

what's with the meatballs? please splain...

Just got back from Sowal at 2am - the week of the 4th is the best - crazy busy but funn, funn, funn! Now about the meatballs (not the other balls in your post - that was tooo funny!), the best thing is that they sell them frozen and also sauce packets so that you can have your very own swedish meatballs at home. The ginger and almond cookies also rock! When I equipped my kitchen at the beach house I also bought Ikea's kitchen sets, knives, etc. The quality has been good and the price is right. Now when we rent and something goes missing it is not as painful to replace. The Cap'n loves Ikea - it always costs a couple of hundred dollars to get out of there.

So you discovered one of my favorite stores that makes any adult feel like a kid in a candy shop! Even Merman likes shopping at Ikea. We always go to the one in Chicago and now there's even one in Atlanta where my brother lives. Talk about lucky us!

We bought this Poang chair in red fabric for our condo and by the looks of it, it's the only piece of furniture the guests ever use. We got it with the footstool (not shown). Hmmm, come to think of it, when Miss Kitty came to dinner during Spring Break, Mr. Kitty made a bee-line to this chair and had to be pried off it. Merman's the exact same way, too. He lives on that chair when we're at the beach. ;-)
