[Beach Runner]

Saw Hugo. The first part is magical with the brilliant little boy repairing clocks and an automaton. Loved that. Then midstream it became an homage to a cinematographer played by Ben Kingsley. Hated that. It was like a post where I went off on a tangent and totally hijacked the post.

Yeah, I know what you mean. The plot really was the weakest link, but the cinematography was exquisite.

OMG, yes, I agree. My favorite part were the colors. The blue and red that washed portions of each frame just blew me away. Absolutely gorgeous!

We watched Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy this afternoon. Received several Oscars. I don't get it. It was like having a root canal, yet I am a Colin Firth fan. Any opinions about this movie?
