So I mispelled a word. Big deal. I don't have spell check available on this site. I'm sure you knew what I meant and BTW, you can join the group. Maybe you would like to consider the Keystone pipeline, an over abundance of business regulations, a failed foreign policy as well as a myriad of others. I will be watching, along with millions of others, to see what is proposed and what is accepted by the President, who is speaking right now, saying he will listen but on occasion veto. Overall, his leaving office cannot be too soon if he continues the path he has pursued in the past. As far as campaigning for 2016, nothing could be further from the truth but as to what they can actually accomplished is still to be determined.

Over abundance of business regulations? I'm pretty sure there are some folks in Texas (fertilizer explosion destroys town) and West Virginia (poisoned drinking water) who might disagree with you on that. IIRC both companies simply filed bankruptcy and avoided responsibility while the EPA will spend years cleaning up the mess with your tax dollars. Talk about a handout!

Keystone is bad on so many levels, the primary one being that it continues to be a handout to oil companies to continue pursuing carbon based fuels. Oil, Coal and Natural Gas need to compete fairly with renewable sources or it's game over a lot sooner than you think. Oh and before you get all bent on whether it's global warming or climate change, it doesn't matter. Even the US military understands the effects of carbon in the atmosphere and says it's a much greater threat to US security than Ebola or ISIS. Of course you and others are still focused on Benghazi as we hurtle toward climactic issues that even someone of your advanced age hasn't seen or can even comprehend.

Foreign policy, you'd be surprised how much we might agree. I'm over the empire, bring the troops home from Germany, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, etc. and cut it in half. Take whatever those savings are and fulfill the promise made to veterans. World police, not anymore. If the UN wants to send troops then any other country on board matches troops and resources or we send no one. Unfortunately, until you can eliminate the military industrial complex from the lobbyists it won't matter whose in power.

... And with the above post, you have given, exactly, the reason for the Republican wave. Despite the obvious spin, the lack of the reality regarding our nation's problems becomes apparent. Thank you for posting why the big change in governmental functions was voted Tuesday night. BTW, I don't expect to see big changes the next two years. Barack Hussein Obama will see to that. As far as my comprehension is concerned, it is just fine and I have seen more, learned more and been through more than you can imagine.

As far as foreign policy is concerned, we agree except for the industrial, military complex statement. I think our failed foreign poiicy is more a matter of poiitical ineptness.

Oh, and who failed in the middle east?

You probably know the answer, but I'll play. Western countries have been effing up the ME for centuries. In reality, the Brits are the true villains. They've created more false nations than they ever knew what to do with.

But if you want to look at the US and screwing up the ME, you really need to go back to the overthrow of a democratically elected regime of Mohammad Mosaddegh in Iran and installing our guy, the Shah. That was kind of the Brits idea as well, but we willingly played along. Not much has gone right in our ME policy since then.

Now, I'm sure you were thinking: I'll take George W. Bush for $2,000 Alec. But that would be such a silly and uneducated answer, I'd know you were just trying to rope someone in.
