Oooh it sounds nice there! I still can;t get over the detinate bombs there. I realize they're not harmful ones. They need to train somewhere I suppose.

Right here!

Depending on the weather and temperature, on some cool mornings I can hear them going off in the distance. They spook my cat something fierce. (I?m in Sandestin) We also get jets when there?s cloud cover, but it?s pretty cool usually when they shoot over head. There?s nothing like laying out by the pool and watching an f-16 fly over you! The price we pay for all this ?built-in? protection from the bad guys.

Which reminds me of a funny story - I had the house I live in appraised a while back. The woman doing the appraisal came in from Pensacola. She spent the entire time complimenting me on the house, I thought she was going to make an offer for it. Then all of the sudden a couple bombs went off that rattled the windows and a jet streaked over head? she totally freaked out. I was like, it?s not a big deal, it?s kind of cool. I think she had a nervous break down right there. This was right after 9/11. :D

I don't think we'll ever have protection from anyone. There are alot of bad guys who put on a good face making it difficult to decifer who's who.

Seriously who was teaching the bad guys to fly....and not land???

Usually, but not always, on Mondays.

It's a long way from the test site to Seagrove, but they shake my house. Scares the dog to death, much quivering and panting.

I guess I'm turning into an old sourpuss! I miss our hippie like, laid back, blue collar, fisherman... quaint little village.

I must retract some of this statement. We are lucky to live in such a beautiful little town. I suppose progress needs to take place and leave the old days in the dust. Its all about how I view it. After taking a walk down to the marina the other evening I was awestruck on how fantastic it looked after being closed for construction all winter. Next time I hope to remember my camera & take photos of our marina makeover. Awesome!!
