IBD: He hasn't been playing the guitar that long either, played the drums first. His largest performance so far - Church! No CD like David Cook, Carly, Michael, Brooke. Syesha has had contracts with Ford, acting and singing, was in a Star Search kind of competition on TV called The One (which got canceled before they announced a winner.) David A has been in front of the camera the most out of all of them with his run on Star Search!
Really, Jason's 4th place finish (which should have been 3rd to me!) is amazing considering what he was up against. His nervousness (like Brooke)
was apparent on live TV but both of them are incredible in the studio versions. I didn't buy Memory because of the judges and ALW's panning of it but broke down and bought yeterday. OMGosh, his voice is beautiful!
The Tambourine Man is available on iTunes now and to me his voice is more lyrical than Bob but still getting edge on it!

I also believe it will be the two Davids in the finale. Jason looked so relieved when he was singing his last song, looked like he was set free...lol

YAY! I got to talk to Jason! Interesting! He talked about the Presidential election and studying the candidates - how is that for dispelling the dumb kid myth!

He is very articulate but still has this goofiness that makes you belly laugh at some of his answers!

I never thought of Jason as dumb. He seems more like a free spirit. I laughed when he made that comment about singing "I shot the tambourine man." Dummies can't make cracks like that. I like his ability to laugh at himself, too. I don't think there's any tortured artist lurking in him, thank god. I adore his voice. I know it doesn't have a broad range but lots of successful singers only fit a certain niche, and that's where they make their mark, because of their unique-ness.

Jason did appear to be relieved. He knew he was going because he claimed to have packed his bags, after Simon advised him to. The judges seemed to have been persuading the audience by being so harsh.

Sayesha's 'performance'? I liked her up until then and it wasn't the crying it was her getting into civil rights, the pres. elec...that turned me off. Its almost as tho she were mimicing Brook by bringing on the water works. Hmmm...

BTW, Brook's been on so many talk shows that I got really like her as a person. Such a lady and so down to earth. Cool.

TMZ reported yesterday that David A's dad is now ban from back stage and from all of the contestents during the week! He can attend the show. It goes on to say he his the stage dad from hail.... and he wanted David to change the arraingement on one of the songs last week. Simon and the other producers said no supposedly David did the words or arraingement his dad wanted live. Now AI has to pay big bucks to somebody for rights or something.
They said the dad was even worryng the other contestants and they are glad to be rid of him.
